Booking Policy

​

We’re thrilled to care for your pets at L.A. Pet Sitting Here’s how booking works to keep things smooth for you and your furry friends:

​

  • How to Book: Schedule your service via phone, email, or our website form. Include your desired service, date, time, and any pet-specific notes.

  • Confirmation: We’ll confirm within 24 hours. Slots are first-come, first-served—book early to lock in your time!

  • Minimum Notice: Book at least 48 hours ahead for standard services. Next-day bookings are welcome but incur a $10 short-notice fee per visit. Same-day requests may be possible based on availability for an additional $10 fee.

  • Cancellations: Cancel with 24 hours’ notice to avoid a 50% fee. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will be charged the full rate.

  • Recurring Bookings: Set up weekly or monthly visits for easy pet care. Changes need 48 hours’ notice.

Additional Fees

​

  • Mileage:

    • $7 one-way for visits up to 10 miles from our office.

    • $10 one-way for visits 10-25 miles from our office.

  • New Care Notes & Meet n Greets: $10 per meeting for initial care discussions or to meet new sitters.

  • Key Pick-Up/Drop-Off: $10 per appointment for us to collect or return your key. Or, grab it yourself from our office pick-up folder at no charge—just let your sitter know your preference at the Meet n Greet!

  • Holiday Surcharges:

    • $8 Sitter Appreciation Fee per regular visit on major holidays.

    • $20 Sitter Appreciation Holiday Fee for overnight service on the holiday date itself.

Payment Details

​

  • Due at the time of service unless pre-arranged. We accept cash, Debit Card, Apple Pay, Venmo. Late payments may add a $15 fee.

  • No extra charges per pet or for administering medication—your whole crew is covered!

Cancellation Policy

Canceled Pet Visits. Next Day Cancellation is full rate charge (exceptions apply like weather and sickness are not charged).

Canceled Overnight Care on holidays is nonrefundable and full charge for less than 2 weeks notice cancelation.

New clients are required to make payment in advance at the Meet n Greet before services start.

Payment Information


We prefer debit or credit card payments through our online portal. Cash is are also welcome, and Apple Pay is an option via the portal. For easy card payments, go to the Invoices section, add your card, choose your invoice, include a tip if you’d like, and click Pay Now. AutoPay is available—just let us know if you’d like to set it up!

Daily Dog Walking Policies


For daily walks or ongoing bookings, payment for one week is due at the Meet n Greet. Invoices are sent monthly, with payment for the current month due by the first day of the following month. AutoPay is encouraged for monthly clients. If payment is 8 days late, a $20 fee will be added. Overdue accounts will receive a notice, and services will pause until paid. After 30 days past due, we’ll refer your account to American Profit Recovery for collections, and our business relationship will end. Two months of late payments in a row will require AutoPay to continue service.

Vacation & Trip Pet Sitting Policies


Invoices are available in the online portal’s invoicing section once services are booked—no emails unless requested or overdue. Payment is due within 7 days of your last visit. For vacation clients, a $20 late fee applies if payment is 15 days overdue. We’ll notify you, and your card on file will be charged the next day. If no card is on file and we don’t hear from you, your account will be sent to American Profit Recovery for collections, and our partnership will end. Two late payments for vacation care will switch your account to prepayment-only status.

  • How Do I Begin?
    You’ve got two easy ways to get started: Fill out our Contact form or shoot us an email. For the quickest booking, please share these details: Your address (so we can check if you’re in our service zone) The dates you need pet care (to confirm we’re free) What kind of pets you have (to pair them with the best sitter) Your phone number (and double-check your email address too!) Once we’ve got that, we’ll arrange your FREE Meet n Greet date and time!
  • Can I Speak to Someone Directly?
    Absolutely! Text Cecilia at (941-204-0391) during business hours, 8 AM to 6 PM, or send an email if it’s after hours. We don’t book services over the phone to avoid mix-ups, but we’re glad to chat and answer any questions! For bookings, please email us—it’s the safest way to ensure everything’s clear and correct for you!
  • What's Needed for a Meet n' Greet?
    During the Meet n Greet, your matched sitter will review your pet’s routine and details while getting acquainted with them. We’ll store this info securely for all future visits—feel free to update it anytime by emailing us! Please have TWO tested keys prepared for us to take. We’ll label them with a unique client number (no names or addresses, just pet names) and store them in our safe. During service, one key stays with your sitter, and the backup remains secure for emergencies—ensuring your pets are always cared for, no matter what. New clients should bring full payment for their first service set to the Meet n Greet. After that, you’ll have the option to get an invoice and pay within 10 days.
  • How Can I Make a Payment?
    Here’s how you can pay for our services: Our favorite option is adding your credit card to our online portal—we even offer auto-charging for convenience! That said, we’re happy to accept cash payments too. You can hand the payment to your sitter at the Meet n Greet, leave it on the counter for the first visit!
  • What Kind of Pets Do We Look After?
    We pair you with sitters who’ve handled just about every pet under the sun! From reptiles and birds to wildlife our team’s got the know-how. We’re also ready to care for your dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, and beyond—whatever furry, feathered, or scaled friend you’ve got, we’re on it!
  • Can I Check in While I'm Gone?
